A compact and user-friendly camera, the Canon PowerShot Elph 190 IS will fit into your pocket and come along with you wherever you go.  The camera features a 20.0 Megapixel ½.3 sensor and DIGIC 4+ image processor. The Sensor and processor work together to provide remarkable image quality and sensitivity to ISO 1600, as well as the ability of recording HD 720p videos at 25 fps. The 10x optical zoom lens allows you to work with a range of different types of subjects, including things that are distant or nearby. The Intelligent IS image stabilization system compensates for the effects of camera shake to deliver sharper handheld photos. A 2.7” 230k-dot LCD monitor is available for composing your shots and reviewing imagery, and the camera’s built-in Wi-Fi and NFC makes wireless transferring of photo and movies to mobile devices possible. The ELPH 190 IS also boasts a Smart Auto mode for intelligently selecting exposure settings and Scene Modes to creatively affect the images, a ECO Mode to help save on battery life, and a special button for learning more about the camera controls.

The camera’s built-in Wi-Fi technology contributes to the convenience of the camera by allowing you to share your photos and videos with friends and family quickly and easily.  Simply post your images to social networking and media sites. The camera can also connect directly to both compatible iOS and Android devices, and upload images via the free Canon Camera Connect app. You can also control the destination of your uploads to share with whoever you choose and even add comments. This incredible feature gives you the ability to keep family and friends up to date with your photos and videos.

Allowing you to shoot in many different situations, the camera’s Shooting Modes can be used to optimize the camera’s settings based on a specific scene type you are working in which includes Low Light, Portrait, and Fireworks modes. The camera’s Scene Modes, such as Fisheye Effect, Toy Camera Effect, and Monochrome help to creatively and skillfully adjust the look your photographs-in-camera.

The camera supports NFC technology for fast connectivity with a single tap. Just touch the NFC icon on your camera to your compatible Android device, and the Canon Camera Connect app will start automatically for fast and simple sharing of your images. The NFC technology also makes it easy to install the app. In the case where the app has not been installed yet, once you touch the devices together for the first time, the download screen will display automatically.
