The Heil Sound PL-2T overhead boom uses a system of perfectly balanced internal springs rather than the unsightly, mechanically unstable outboard springs used on booms of much lesser quality. Handles microphones up to 3-1/2 pounds in weight. Remove the top and back plates to thread the mic cable inside the boom with ease. No more cable connectors to remove and replace! Ships with a standard C-clamp mount. The PL-2 accepts industry standard 5/8″ threaded mic clips or shockmounts. The chrome threaded stem can be locked into place depending upon the exact type of microphone or shockmount. Counterweight included to accommodate lighter microphones. The Heil Sound PL2T Boom Mount is a professional articulating, broadcast studio microphone mount that features perfectly balanced springs for quiet, reliable microphone positioning. The two sections feature a hollow channel with removable panels for threading the microphone cable along the spine of the boom. The PL2T easily handles microphones weighing up to 3.5 lb (1.6 kg), includes a C clamp mount that will easily mount surfaces up to 1.5″ thick, and features a 5/8″-27 thread stud for microphone shock mounts.
