The camera features an 80′ detection range and an adjustable 0.2- to 0.7-second trigger speed, capturing 18MP photos and 1600 x 900 video (with sound) in response to movement. Equipped with an antenna, the Defender Wireless Scout Pro will transmit photos or video over the Verizon 4G LTE network to your phone (running the easy to use mobile app) or to a web portal where you can log in via your computer. You can also use an SD memory card to 512GB to store images. Data plans start at $12.99 per month.
The 120′ infrared LED flash has settings for Power Save, Long Range, and Fast Motion; Browning’s Illuma-Smart technology adjusts the flash on individual shots for optimal lighting. The camera is capable of capturing up to eight images at a time in Multi-Shot or Rapid Fire modes, ensuring that you don’t miss action. Set the interval between trigger events anywhere from 1 second to 60 minutes to avoid filling up your memory card with photos of the same animal.
